Seminars

  • Topics will be assigned by Head of the Department to the postgraduate students, year-wise.
  • Schedule of presentations will be given.
  • Postgraduate student will get approval of the word document from the staff for the assigned topic.
  • Student will then prepare the power point and take approval.
  • Presentation will be done by the student on the scheduled date and time.
  • Discussion and evaluation will be done on the presented topic.

Journal Club

  • Articles (Original research, Systematic review, Meta-analysis) will be assigned by Head of the Department to the postgraduate students, year-wise.
  • Schedule of presentations will be given.
  • Postgraduate student will get approval of the written material on the approved article from the staff.
  • Student will then prepare the power point and take approval.
  • Presentation will be done by the student on the scheduled date and time.
  • Discussion and evaluation will be done on the presented topic.

Case Report

  • Special cases (Pre-cancer, cancer, reactive lesions) will be assigned by Head of the Department to the postgraduate students, year-wise.
  • Schedule of presentations will be given
  • Postgraduate student will get approval of the filled case record sheet on the approved case from the staff.
  • Student will then prepare the power point and take approval.
  • Presentation will be done by the student on the scheduled date and time.
  • Discussion and evaluation will be done on the presented topic.

Slide Discussion

  • Schedule of discussions will be given to the students, year-wise.
  • Student will learn about the assigned topic and attend discussion.
  • Discussion will be done on the scheduled topic by the respective staff on the scheduled time and date.
  • Student will draw the diagrams related to the discussed topic in the observation and get approval.
  • Approved diagrams will be copied to the Histopathology Record book by the student.

Conferences / Presentations

  • An important criterion for the postgraduates, to get eligibility for final examinations is to attend the specialty association conferences/Conventions/workshops.
  • They are supposed to present scientific papers/posters in atleast one National Conference, one National Postgraduate Convention and one state level conference.
  • They need to attend at least one National conference and one National PG convention or one State Level conference.
