Research and Innovation, a branch of health care science that determines the safety and effectiveness (efficacy) of medications, devices, diagnostic products, and treatment regimens intended for human use that may be used for prevention, treatment, diagnosis, or for relieving symptoms of a disease.
Overview
The Department of Research and Innovation is dedicated to promoting a strong culture of research, innovation, scientific inquiry, and knowledge translation among students, research scholars, and faculty members. The department provides comprehensive support throughout the research and innovation lifecycle, from research / innovative idea development, proposal preparation, funding support, research methodology, & data management to scientific writing, publication, intellectual property protection, prototype development, and technology transfer and commercialization.
The department also promotes interdisciplinary collaboration, research training, innovation competitions, hackathons, entrepreneurship, and industry–academic partnerships. Through these initiatives, the department aims to facilitate high-quality, ethical, impactful, and translational research that contributes to advancements in dental and healthcare sciences and supports the development of innovative solutions for societal needs.
