Clinical Research, a branch of health care science that determines the safety and effectiveness (efficacy) of medications, devices, diagnostic products, and treatment regimens intended for human use that may be used for prevention, treatment, diagnosis, or for relieving symptoms of a disease.

Clinical Research deals with systematic, observational, and well-planned experimental studies performed in human subjects to test new drugs, the combination of drugs, devices, biologics, and vaccines for safety and efficacy. It is also used to test new approaches to surgery, radiotherapy, or procedures to improve the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of disease providing good quality of life to the patient.
