The department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery started in 2001 as one of the specialist branches in Sibar Institute of Dental Sciences, the same year when the institute was born.

Overview

The department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery started in 2001 as one of the specialist branches in Sibar Institute of Dental Sciences, the same year when the institute was born.

Since then, the department witnessed exponential growth along with the institute, and emerged into a magnificent block with structured undergrad and post grad clinics. There is a dedicated operation theatre with advanced equipment along with an intensive care unit (ICU) and general wards to accommodate and provide surgical care to the needy. There is an annual intake of 5 postgraduate students. Academic and clinical training for the postgraduates and the under graduates are structured and implemented as per the DCI norms.
