As a part of oral hygiene day celebrations, Oral Health examination and awareness camp was conducted at Government High school, near Mani Hotel Centre Old Guntur. Nearly 300 students participated in the camp. Students were educated about the importance of oral hygiene maintenance and measures to reduce the plastic wastes. Tooth brushes and tooth pastes were distributed to all the students.
Survey was conducted regarding the usage of oral hygiene aids, mode of discarding toothbrushes, oral hygiene status of the patients attending the out patient department of periodontics, Sibar Institute of dental sciences. Nearly 200 patients participated in the survey. Postgraduate students displayed all the oral hygiene aids, given oral hygiene education to the patients who have attended the outpatient department in our college, and also toothpastes, mouth washes, oral hygiene awareness pamphlets have been distributed to the patients.
